Editorial selection

Featured Voices decides who appears. A submission is an application to be considered, not a booking, and most of the decision rests on whether the person can say something specific about their work and their market that a reader could not get elsewhere.

A feature cannot be bought. There is no paid placement, no advertorial and no sponsorship of any profile on this site. Nobody pays to appear, and nobody pays to be removed.

Submissions

Anyone working in Dubai real estate may put themselves forward through the Get Featured form. The form asks the questions written for that part of the industry: a recruiter and a broker are asked different things, because the useful answers are different.

Submitting does not create a profile. Every submission is read by an editor, and many are declined or held for more information.

AI-assisted drafting

We use AI to turn a person's own answers into a first draft: a summary, headline options, an article and a tidied version of their interview. It is a drafting tool and nothing else.

The model is given only what the person wrote. It is instructed never to add a company, a figure, a date, an award, a client, a qualification or a quotation that is not in their answers, and to flag gaps rather than fill them.

No profile is published by AI. Every draft is edited and approved by a person before it goes live, and the editor is free to rewrite or discard any of it.

Fact checking and claims

Facts that can be checked are checked: the person's role, their company, and anything the profile states as fact. Where a claim cannot be verified, it is either attributed to the person who made it or left out.

Opinions about the market are published as opinions, attributed to the person and dated, because a view about where prices are heading is a view and not a finding.

Corrections

If something we published is wrong, we correct it. Anyone featured can request a correction, a new photograph, a change of role or removal from the site through the Update profile page, quoting their reference.

Corrections are made to the live profile. Where a correction changes the substance of what was published, we say so on the profile.

Editorial independence

Featured Voices is independent of the companies it writes about. No company has approval over the copy that concerns it, and no commercial relationship with this publication affects who is featured or what a profile says.

Editors' contact details, submitted evidence and internal review notes are never published.
